Now that A.I. has mirrored our past the past has become boring - We need a new humanity at last with basic new senses for exploring a future that in a different context is cast, less artificial, less vain, less deploring, more human, simple, more steadfast at peace-making, tired of warring, free from materialism’s comfort ballast, our inner mobility restoring. Che Chidi Chukwumerije Poems from the inner river
Of Nature and Natural Laws
SOME COME, SOME GO
Talk to the clouds
As you would talk to a departed friend
As you would write to a distant lover
As you would whisper to your future
Quietly within your heart.
For they are dreams
Gathering on the roof of your destiny
And they shall rain upon you
Or they shall disperse and quietly disappear –
Some are fulfilled, some are not. This is life.
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije
TWILIGHT HORIZON
Eternal sunset
Unending dusk
Rolled along the edge of the earth
Creased the Northpole and gave birth to
Eternal sunrise
Never-ending dawn
From dusk to dawn like a painted horizon
At twilight born by a giant drawn.
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije
THE INVISIBLE CLOUDFOLK
Always this feeling
When I‘m sitting on the clouds
Like a horseman ranging afield:
There must be someone
There must be some people
There must be some folk
Living up here in the clouds
Loving the sun
Loving the moon
Loving the stars.
We just don‘t see them
Anymore.
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije

DEJA VU
Is the future
a story we read in the past
and forget in the present?
Or is tomorrow
a story we wrote yesterday?
and life is reading it back to us today.

DESTINATION UNCERTAIN
The earth is not just carrying us
We are carrying the earth too
We attract each other with gravitational forces
Where are we carrying the earth to?

ROCK STARS
Did the sun give birth to the earth?
And the earth to the moon?
Is the moon childless?
What are we doing here
On this strange rock
In the middle of billions and billions
Of other strange rocks?
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije
TREE LIFE
The trees speak to me
And tell me their Story
Some are planted first
For their growth will be long
And their fruits will come last
To feed the weakening strong
Who have made it to the end
Some flower early
To awaken in the young
The thirst for song, and in
The old the memory of beauty
As a birth gift for the Beyond
Some will be the fruit-bearers
In the middle of time
So that along the journey
Nature will take care of every
Wanderer, every Wonderer, every Seeker
The human life is spread out
Into stages and phases and types of natures
In every one you will find a helper
A teacher and a friend
This is love
Every Tree too has a Helper
Invisible to you and me
But this is love –
God leaves no one to struggle
Without giving him or her – or it – a helper too
For those whose leaves never drop
For those whose leaves drop and grow again
For those who stand straight
For those who bend in the wind
For those who grow unannounced, lonesome and rare
For those who meet me everywhere
I say Thank You.
The trees speak to me
And tell me their Story:
Now that you’ve tasted of the tree
Of the knowledge of good and evil
It is time for you to taste the fruit
Of the tree of life.
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije
A BASE
Flower needs earth
Or water
Or tree
Flower needs something
To grow on.
Flower without base
Is an idea without implementation.
– Che Chidi Chukwumerije
