WHEN YOU STOP WANTING

When you stop wanting to know everything,
You start knowing what to really want;
When you start wanting to grow into winning,
You start growing, focused, up and to the front.

Never forget the kind of people and things
That rejected you when you were nobody and nothing,
Your knowledge of them shall be the wings
That shall fly you over obstacles into your blessing.

Absorb the pain and become serious,
Trudge through the terrain no matter how tedious,
Be your true self and you’ll be mysterious,
And never return to all that was injurious.

DIFFERENT STORIES

The story is always told differently
From how it really happened
Because the story was experienced differently
From how it really happened
By everyone to whom it really happened
Even while it really happened
To everyone to whom it really happened
Like it never really happened.

CHANGE LEADS

Change leads to more change
Every trigger triggers another trigger
When life wants to rearrange

Your life and make it even bigger
It uses sudden change and surprise
Pain is an inconsequential by-product

Or a tool, a school, but the real prize
Is your next level waiting to be unlocked
So embrace change that refuses

To be refused and powers itself through
And challenges you and confuses
You and transforms you into a higher you.

WAS IT A DREAM?

Dreams
What do they mean?
So many things happen in them -
And yet nothing happened.
So many things never happened in them
And yet everything happens one day
But I have forgotten
Until Déjà vu.

PARTS OF WAYS

Ways part in part
And while parts of ways
Stay apart other parts
Remain inside the heart
Until the harmattan of days
Has cleared and the haze
Lifts and a new path starts.

MAKING AMENDS

I make many mistakes
But I make them honestly
And, whatever it takes,
I try to correct them eventually.

If I offended you, know for sure
That I carry regret in my heart
And hope to make amends before
One of us from this earth shall depart.

HEALING ANEW

Let the hope arise in you again
Like an eternal sun of love
And dissolve repeatedly your pain
Like a magnet drawing from Above

Free yourself from heavy thoughts,
Let a happy current course through you;
Gradually life connects all the dots
Morning after morning healing anew.

LIFE EXPRESSION

Your life is the expression of yourself
And yourself is the expression of your life,
Your surface is the mirror of your depth,
In you is the strength to overcome all strife.

DISILLUSIONMENT

That moment comes and it suddenly clicks,
That someone you thought was close to you
Really does not know you. The mind played tricks -
Or was it the heart? - on both of you.

SERVICE

In the morning when the sun arises
A light shall also dawn within you,
A clarity that intrinsically recognises
What on Earth you are supposed to do -

To awaken to service to the good,
For kindness, honesty, courage and humility
Are life’s deeper nourishment and food
And the template of humanity.
