PROMISES WITHOUT WORDS

Some promises are made without words. But they are there. They are transmitted from heart to heart, and the heart understands what has been given, received, taken, reciprocated and shared.
Such promises are easy to break and deny, but hard to bear or forget or ever make good again. Because what was not spoken with words or broken with words cannot be repaired with words.

The deepest promises are silent and are the litmus test of the truthfulness of our character and the trustworthiness of our personalities and the purity of our hearts.
And then when the words then follow, they seal in stone what has already permeated the air and the heart.
Be mindful of the promises you make, whether spoken or unspoken, be honest to yourself and fulfil – or break honestly – what you have promised within yourself.

SELF-CONTROL

There are some you don’t take,
Even when they make themselves available,
For heaven’s and your dignity‘s sake -
Pleasure today will tomorrow be regrettable.

The line you draw will be your lifeline,
A line as high and thick as it is invisible and fine.
The gap you maintain will maintain your pride;
If you cross it, shame will become the great divide.

Some things it’s better not to do,
Not because of what you’ll gain or not gain,
But because of what it will take from you;
It can’t be repaired by even the deepest pain.

Honour makes a nation
And integrity makes a state -
The day you learn to resist temptation
Is the day you become great.

THE INTUITION

Many thousand years have passed
And many thousand more will too
But when it’s over you will see
That the lies still have not changed the truth

Intellect will build a ship
That will fly to distant stars
But only intuition will know
What makes human beings happy
What makes human hearts happy..

Believe that you can make a change
Then spend your life trying
Speak your mind and be free
Before dying

Because the intellect will find a cure
For every sickness on this earth
But only the Intuition will know
What makes human beings happy
What makes human hearts truly happy..

It’s irrelevant if the seeds you sow
Do not yield fruit in your lifetime
It doesn’t mean a thing if no-one applauds
As long as deep within, you touch the happiness
Of having been true to yourself.

KNIGHT’S TRAP

image blitzmaerker/pixabay

I fell into the knight’s trap
Of trying to protect my mother
From my father

Nay
Of seeing things from her point of view
And refusing to look at them from his
Forgetting that he and I are the same –

A feathered castle is the strongest prison –

When I became a man too
Then I knew
That wittingly or unwittingly
She had simply divided father and son
For decades of lifetimes
And
Brought me together with my father
In my heart
Today.

A knight should free the maiden –
But then
Thereafter
He should remember
To free himself too
From the maiden
And ride back home
To his own castle.

Never stay.
