When you don‘t know
what to throw away and what to keep
When you don‘t know
when it‘s time to laugh and when to weep
When you can‘t tell
if you’re wide awake or fast asleep
When you can‘t tell
the difference between shallow and deep
any longer
like you could when you were younger
and materially weaker but spiritually stronger
then you need again to reconnect
with your original and most honest hunger
For the inner voice of your deepest hunger
Is always correct.

My heart weeps, a baby
Another mountain stream
Seeking a lake
After which it longs, a Lover
Longing for completion
During the course of a life-long journey
Into the eternal sea.

My heart cries for that presence
That was his quiet audience
On a walk across a Valley
In a Cumbrian mystery –

Spirit, I know you can move
Through time and space. Find me, do,
Meet me, be with me, deeply,
No matter where I wander
Or rest my head at night – stay close, meander
Like a melody in my Soul…

I’ve run out of control
Searching for my Goal.

One man’s iconolater
Is the other man’s idolworshipper
Only the iconoclast
Is atheist – to some
Iconic deity itself to others
We see from different sides.

One man’s woman
Some nights is another
Woman’s man
– shout! all you want
Hidden things will continue
To happen in hidden places.

Understanding is
A fragment of that
Cracked mirror’s bottom.
Return from your space ship
Bewildered scientist
The greater mystery is humanity.
