VULNERABLE

VULNERABLE

I‘m feeling so vulnerable these days
I feel so exposed on all my ways
Please open up your heart for me, my dear
I wanna hide inside
I‘m feeling so vulnerable this night
I‘m frightened of things not in sight
Please open up your heart for me, my dear
I wanna hide inside

Sometimes a man is weak
He sees all the failures in his life
Pride and shame, pain and uncertainty
Make him feel so small inside

And I’m so vulnerable today
Please hold me in your arms like a baby
And I’m so vulnerable tonight
Hold me until I’m steady
Steady again, … ready again…
Up and ready to be a man…

I’m a boy tonight, I’m a little baby
Just because you don’t see any tears
Don’t be fooled, don’t be fooled
Tonight I’m a slave of all my buried fears

And I’m so vulnerable today
One wrong word from you and I’ll be broken
Yes I’m so vulnerable tonight
Shield me until I’m woken
Up again, … ready again…
Up and ready to be a man…

Hold me baby… hold me tender
Hold me baby… hold me softer
Hold me baby… I’m feeling lonely
Hold me baby… I’m feeling broken

Hold me baby… hold me darling
Hold me baby… hold me gently
Hold me baby… I’m feeling empty
Hold me baby… I’m feeling broken

I’m feeling so vulnerable these days
I feel so exposed on all my ways
And I’m so……
Vulnerable today….
Vulnerable tonight…..
Vulnerable oh yeah…
(Adlibs..)
Instr. riff

Hold me baby… I’m feeling broken… (rptdly)

OHNE FILTER

Zeig mir Dein Gesicht
ohne Filter.

DIFFERENT

To be vulnerable is to be honest.
To be honest is to be vulnerable.
To be different is to be vulnerable to be honest.
To be different is to be honest to be vulnerable.
It is a strange place to be everytime
No matter how many times you go there.
Each time it feels different.
It requires bravery everytime.
Even when you‘re familiar with it
Still you never get used to it.
Because it is different. Everytime.

VULNERABILITY

Waking up
Feeling like a wound
And for a second you don’t cover up your vulnerability
Because the world is still asleep
And no-one is watching…

You lie there, your eyes closed
Your wound open
And let your life’s troubles tear at the wound
In your Heart…
And then,
Just when the pain becomes unbearable
You feel the calming weight of responsibility
Descend like balm and bandage upon you
You know your role again
You become strong.

And by the time you open your eyes and arise
The wound has been stitched up again
And you set forth to meet the world
Unperturbed
Resolved.

TRAYVON

Trayvon-Martin-1

You’re walking on water
Don’t think it is land
The tide is about to turn
Your feet into sand

Signals sent out over the earth
Kill them before they grow
There is a protection Claws in our justice
For a darker tomorrow

Subliminal messages
Password more valid than passport
What is the colour of love?
Blindness is just in court

Mankind will destroy humanity
And claim to be its saviour
And cunning will mask hatred
And none shalt love thy neighbour.

GO EASY ON LOVE

Only the one you love
Can make you feel small
And vulnerable

Go easy on love
Like a fresh leaf awakening
Let your every touch be thoughtful

I die when you kill me
I sigh when you kill me
I cry when you kill me

I have no shield against your thrust
Look into my eyes before you strike me dead.

WRITERS AND LOVERS

I’ve never dated a writer
I wonder what it’s like
To both be awake, thinking
And writing in the night.
Will we share each other’s thoughts
Or keep our thoughts to ourselves?
Will we rejoice together
Or envy each other’s success?

Who will draw from whom
When both are needy?
Who will be the calming pole
When the writer gets crazy?
Who will write the greater poem
Into the book of life?
Greater than words on paper
And conquer inner strife.

Read my palm, it’s full of lines
Do not read between the lines
Between the lines are just packs of lies
Cleverly waiting to bait a writer’s eyes.
