SOMETIMES JUST LET IT BE

Don‘t ask what you don’t really want to know. Don’t confirm what you already sense or even know, but are not really interested in knowing. Let things be and leave yourself unburdened and uncluttered and buoyantly light, and focus on only what is really important. Let people tell and keep their lies and falsehoods and secrets without you piercing it with the sword of your questions or lifting the fog with the knowingness of your words. Let them keep on carrying that weight, if it is what they desire, and let it continue to twist and distort them, if it means so much to them. Separate yourself from that chaos and from that filth and remain unburdened, light and free. Sometimes, leave people alone in their personal inner struggle. Just send up a prayer for them and walk away. They too deserve to walk their path of development in peace.

It is not important to confirm everything one senses or to reveal everything one knows; it is not important to expose every lie. It is not important to voice every thought one has concerning a person. If it is a matter that plays no active role in your life, or does not gravely affect something to which you are morally or loyally beholden, you may want to leave it be and pass it by. And if it is something from which you can detach yourself, no matter how much essential importance it once seemed to hold in your life, then pull yourself away from it and walk away. You don’t have to tell it why, if it is pretending not to know why. And you don’t have to expose the lie it wants to keep secret, unless it really affects you and plays a role in your life. If not, let it be and simply detach yourself and move on. It is not necessary for people to know everything you know about them. Wisdom and maturity lie in silence, when words are unnecessary.
